THE NEW Macroll III, 24-ton unit being exhibited at the Public Work and Municipal Services Exhibition and Congress (International Cor struction Equipment '81) at the NEC is suitable for three-axle 24-to gvw rigid chassis cabs of approximately 5,080m (2009n) wheelbase The Macroll has been designed to handle containers specificall built for rival units so can easily slot into existing fleets. The princip; features of the unit includes smooth single action loading and of loading effected by an entirely pivoted mechanism and incorpora ing no slides, press-button independent jack selection at any stag of operation from the driving position, and lightweight constructiol giving a total unit weight of less than three tons. The Macroil can lift up to 15 tons, although the payload availab will depend on the weight of the chassis to be used.
