RHA Year Book

ANOTHER hardy annual — the Road Haulage Association's haulage manual — made its appearence this week at a new price of £3 per copy including postage. For the second year, it hides the wealth of useful information under limp covers.

Though the mixture is very much as before, the section on labour relations has been rewritten to take into account the changes since it was last published and much of the other information has been up-dated. There new names among the li officers of the associa and the catalogue and I of the group training a ciations included in green-page section has 1 revised.

Members of the R receive a copy free but can obtain additional cc at E3 each, and non-nber's can buy a copy frorr R HA at Roadway Housi Upper Woburn Place, I don, WC I H OES s to bring it into opern and (b) impose and ene such restrictions as are onably required to mate or mitigate the Lilems identified. Mindful of the shorter hours for drivers when EEC regulation 543 i 69 comes into operation the FTA considers there is a strong case for allowing trailer swopping on long-distance operations to be permitted in parts of certain motorway service areas.

The memorandum ,coneludes that planned, positive action to deal with lorry parking problems can achieve in the short to medium term real and worthwhile benefits for the community while imposing only marginal costs on industry,
