• The lengthy negotiations between MAN and Salzgitter AG of Germany which have been aimed at MAN taking an interest in Bussing---part of Salzgitter—have finally been completed. MAN has taken over 50 per cent of the Bussing shares.
The two German vehicle makers will in future co-operate in the manufacture of both goods and p.s.v. models but will continue to offer their individual ranges through their own sales organizations. Development and manufacturing programmes will be linked and it is planned that production facilities will be co-ordinated. The two companies will supply each other with parts and units.
