• A big switch to one-man-operation employing rear-engined 33ft double-deckers is planned by Southend-on-Sea Corporation Transport. The undertaking, which operates a fleet of about 80 buses, has ordered 26 Daimler Fleetlines—the first rear-engined buses for Southend.
