MR. D. M. SINCLAIR. general manager, was among 134 employees of the Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Co.. Ltd.. recenth presented with 25-year service certificates and medals. Two employees, MR. J. W. HAMMOND. a conductor at Leamington Spa, and MR. L. .1. ROWLEY. traffic inspector at Kidderminster, were the first to receive awards for 50 years' service. Another eight employees qualified for 40-year awards.

MR. iL. C. HAWKINS, a member of the London Transport Executive, is to leave this country on January 6 to spend three months advising the Ceylon and Singapore Governments on the reorganization of bus services. He will' be accompanied by MR. H. F. C. ApcocK. MR. R. Cr. finis. and MR. H. E. G. HEWINGS, who will deal with operating, engineering and administrative matters respectively. Mr. Hawkins will spend 16 clays in Ceylon. where Mr. Adcock and Mr. Hills will remain for a longer period. Mr. Hewings will go on to Singapore with Mr. Hawkins.
