MR. H. N. BATES, chairman of Specialloid, Ltd., has resigned from the board and from those of Aero Piston Ring Co., Ltd., and Specialloid (Sales), Ltd.
MR. A. H. MUST° retires from his appointment as secretary of John I. Thornycroft and Co., Ltd., on December 31. He will be succeeded by MR. G. A. MURRAY.
MR. F. FALLER, works superintendent of Commer Cars, Ltd., is to retire after long service. MR: F. M. BEST, general sates manager of Tilling-Stevens, Ltd,, a member of the Rootes Group, has been transferred to Luton to become production manager of Comrner Cars, Ltd. He will be responsible to the works director for all matters directly concerned with production at Luton. Mr. Best will control the machine shop, assembly shop, rectification, body shop, tool room, machine maintenance, production control, transport and stores. MR. R. M. WILLIAMS, assistant sales manager, has been appointed sales manager of Tilling-Stevens, Ltd., and Vulcan Motors, Ltd.

Ma. C. S. PEARSON, formerly chief sales executive in the northern region, has been appointed chipf sales executive of the Avon India Rubber Co., Ltd. MR. W. H. SANDERsoN has been appointed area sales manager at the company's Manchester depot.
MR. FRAsER BRiANT has been appointed sales manager (domestic market) of the British Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd., responsible for B.T.R. and Palmer tyres. MR. P. H. GIBBs has become sales manager of the B.T.R. automobile products department.
MR. W. H. PLATT, assistant sales manager (wrought products) of the British Aluminium Co., Ltd., is to retire after 41 years' service in the company's sales division. MR. C. F. BaTsToNu will combine the functions of principal assistant sales manager with those previously carried out by Mr. Platt.
