Since deploying DA Systems NX Mobile Data and Fleet Tracking solution across its 140-strong fleet, courier and distribution company CYC Logistics can communicate in real-time with all its drivers by making voice calls. Each driver in the fleet is equipped with an XDA PDA-style (personal digital assistant) handset running NX Mobile Data with fleet mapping. The drivers can do everything they need to confirm the collection and delivery of goods at the click of a button. The NX system links drivers electronically to the controllers, who can be in constant contact with each driver and can offer customers real-time proof of deliveries. Paul Knight, systems manager at CYC Logistics, says: "NX was easily rolled out and integrated with our existing systems and is already having a huge impact on our business efficiency and accountability. It has given us the competitive edge and enabled us to successfully retain and win accounts."
