Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

We wish to draw attention to the article (CM July 31) which contained certain references to the Land-Rover and its use with the Guttridge gooseneck trailer.

Rover Company recommendations for the usage of trailers with the Land-Rover include a limit on gross trailer weight of 3 tons for diesel models and 4 tons for petrol models.

The tests carried out at the MIRA test track were conducted with a 109in. LandRover and Guttridge trailer whose combined weight, ie, gross train weight, was 4 tons.

While we do not wish to detract in any way from the merits of the Guttridge trailer, we do feel it necessary to advise potential customers of the limitations of the LandRover for such an application.
