• Training Recommendations for Vehicle Trades Apprentices have just been published by the RTITB. Prepared ir consultation with Industry and Furthel Education, they are applicable tc apprentices in the road transport industry and cover the following categories auto-electricians, partsmen, light vehicle an heavy vehicle mechanics and vehich salesmen.
Recruitment and selection are dealt witl in the opening section which is followed b: a block training syllabus and a detailet training syllabus with notes on craft, basi and job training. The five sections dealin with the above-mentioned trades end include a job description and a detaile training syllabus divided into three stage! each stage normally corresponding to on year of training and related furthE education.
These new Recommendations supersed Training Recommendations for Apprentic Motor Vehicle Mechanics, 1st edition 1968
