Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A resilient wheel suspension system has been evolved and patented by Mr J. R. C. Moore, Theoretical and Engineering Techniques Ltd, Little Melton, Norwich. that can, it is claimed, be used in conjunction with a non-sprung axle. The wheel has four hinged spokes between the rim and the fixed hub, and loading of the wheel causes the rim to deflect torsionally relative to the hub. In one application the joints of the spokes have rubber bushes which act as the suspension medium. Alternatively a central bearing can be used that twists as the wheel deflects; this is connected to a coil in-tensiOn spring mounted on the chassis that acts as the suspension medium.
