Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Two companies based at Axminster, J. Lane and Son Ltd and Barbers Animal Products Ltd, were both granted carrier's licences on Tuesday by Mr J. R. C. Samuel-Gibbon, chairman of the SouthWest Traffic Commissioners, sitting at Exeter.

The companies, together with a third, Haynes (Helston) Ltd, were incorporated in

June and all have the same managing director. Mr C. J. Lane.

Haynes (Helston) was granted a carrier's licence subject to the receipt of a letter from Mullion Garages about repair and maintenance arrangements.

J. Lane vehicles will carry. live poultry and processed birds in refrigerated vehicles and Haynes (Helston) and Barbers have special vehicles for the collection of offal used in the manufacture of bone meal and pet food.

All three companies made separate applications for licences but the cases were dealt with together. In all there were 25 vehicles involved and there were no objections to the applications.
