Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A double-decker vehicle for carrying two small boats has been designed and built by Locomotors of Mitcham for SS Glassfibre Designs Ltd, Farnborough. Loading and unloading can be carried out by the driver, using a special manual winch /elevator system.

Based on a Ford D300 134in. wheelbase chassis, the new transporter has been designed to carry the Dejon 14—a popular 14ft glassfibre day cruiser.

The boats each weigh 400lb, and to facilitate handling are loaded on trailers, when the first boat is winched onto a ramp, secured, and the ramp elevated to the upper position by means of a pulley system operated by another winch. The second boat can then be winched onto the lower deck, secured and the vehicle ready to go.

SS Glassfibre Designs produce between eight and 10 of the Dejon 14 weekly, as well as other glassfibre components such as vehicle panels, which can also be carried on the new vehicle.

The new transporter was supplied through Gray's of Guildford.
