WITH the approach of the General VV Election special significance is attached to the appearance of Sir Gerald Nabarro, M.P., at a Lancashire hauliers' meeting on September 10. The gathering is being organized by the R.H.A. North Western (Eastern) area and will be held at the Castle Irwell Restaurant, Cromwell Road, Salford.
The discussion session is likely to bring out questions on the effects of nationalization should the Labour Party come into power, also on the probable cost of any swing to public ownership of the industry. Mrs. Jill Knight, playwright, lecturer and broadcaster, will be one of the supporting speakers.
