pressure may drop to below 15 p.s.i., all the oil passes direct to the bearings.
As the engine speeds up and the oil pressure rises, the spring-loaded cut-off valve opens up the way to the filter. To facilitate the fitting of the filter, the makers now offer certain Accessories for different mounting positions.
