. MR. HAROLD DREW, chief engineer --of Vauxhall Motors, Ltd., has been appointed assistant chief engineer, of -General Motors Overseas Operations, with headquarters• in Detroit. MR. .PVIAURICE. PLATT, formerly Vauxhall's 'executive engineer, succeeds Mr. Drew as chief engineer. Mr. Drew began his -career with the Sunbeam Motor Car Co., Ltd.,' and joined General Motors in 1925. Hebecame Vauxhall's engine designer in 1928 and was appointed' a director of the company in .1946. Mr. .Platt worked for two years with Albion Motors, Ltd., and joined The Motor as technical editor in 1924. In 1937, he .joined Vauxhall's engineering depart,ment. He is chairman of the Automobile Division of the Institution of 'Mechanical Engineers.
