ACLAIM by the Transport and General Workers' Union for an increase of 2s. a week in the wages of
electric truck drivers employed by S.P.D., Ltd., 3-5 Salisbury Square, London, E.C.4, has been referred back to the parties by the Industrial Disputes Tribunal.
The Union are pressing for a new classification of electric-truck drivers. and said that the increased rate should be included in -the manual rates schedule, but the Tribunal were of the opinion that aS the claim originated from one warehouse only, it was a matter to be negotiated locally. They added that if no agreement was reached within two months, either party could again refer the dispute to them.
