Another Touring Car Adapted to the Needs of the Commercial Traveller.

FOR the work of travelling business representatives who have to convey a considerable weight of samples, the specially fittedtouring car is making notable headway against the older method of transport by train. A number of firms in the soft-goods industries has lately taken delivery of notably good examples of traveller's cars. Amongst these are Lister and Co., Ltd., of Manningham Mills, Bradford, whose choice fell upon the latest business model of the Bean touring car.

As will be seen from the accompanying illustration, the standard touring two-seater Bean makes a particularly attractive proposition when adapted as comniercial traveller's 'car. The body shown is the same as the standard twoseater, except that instead of having a dickey seat it has a capacious locker at the rear. The door of the locker opens downwards, and when open is supported by two metal stays, so that it forms a shelf out on to which sample cases may be drawn.

The interior dimensions of the sample locker are 32 ins. wide, 41 ins, deep and 16 ins. high. As will be seen, there is ample and secure space for the conveyshoe of of sample cases or personal luggage

For casesin which the four-seater touring car is preferred for travelling representatives, a capacious locker, easily removable and supplied with a tonneau cover of waterproof material, can be fitted in the back compartment of the Bean car for an extra charge above that of the standard car of £15,
