Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The blue Foden Alpha 4000 was built for the Foden marketing department to display at the 2002 CV Show. It then went to Paccar’s technical centre in Washington State and was taken round various shows in the US to promote Paccar products. It was shipped back to DAF at Thame, Oxfordshire, and was used in the company’s training centre for fault diagnosis; fault codes are dialled in for the students to find and fix.

When Foden training ceased, Terry Seaman was tipped off that the Alpha was going to be sold. He was given first refusal: would he be interested? Sure enough, with only 29,000km on the clock from new, he didn’t hesitate. Last year, he taxed the Foden as a private vehicle to take a local girl to her school prom, but he says he will never use it for work as “it was a one-off”.
