a "Lady Truckers" phone number which was advertised in the binliner press. You know the kind of thing — hot housewives, sexy secretaries and tempting traffic wardens(?). Seems you can now phone a saucy lady trucker number to find out what it's really like for them. The Hawk, an investigator by trade, phoned the number. "Hi there big buddy. A big tenfour from the Mistress of the Motorway. . . "began the very well spoken lady. It went downhill from there and I duly hung up.
It cost me a quid though, and all I found out from this Lady Trucker was that she wore a leather miniskirt. Was she a true representation of female drivers? I asked my lady truck driving friends. They didn't have time to answer — they've got a job to do.
