Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Crane Fruehauf has introduced its ipping bodies, previously fitted only to semi-trailers, for rigid vehicle application. here are two models, the ODBA and the DBA; both utilize a forward-mounted dbro ram.

The ODBA body is available with internal lengths, varying by increments of 1 between 17ft and 26ft. For each body length there are three different sidewall eights available to allow a choice of three body capacities at each length. Capacities of hese bodies range between 15cu yd and Ocu yd.

The RDBA type uses a ram recessed into the front of the body and CF envisages the main market for this vehicle to be with three and four axle tippers, now even more attractive to the operator in the light of the revised axle-spread proposals for such vehicles.

The RDBA body has inside lengths, igain in lft increments, ranging between 2ft and 18ft and again three capacities are wadable at each body length. Cubic capacities for the model lie between 10 and 20cu yd.

Unladen body weights for both models range between 10.75cwt and 19.75cwt and the listed prices are between £704 and £900 for the ODBA, and £785 and £1050 for the RDBA model.

Body construction is similar to the semi-trailer version, that is, all-welded aluminium with the familiar top-hat section stiffening ribs located at 2ft centres and joined to the extruded aluminium box-section top rail.

The floor is 5mm-thick aluminium and the front and side panels are fabricated from 4mm thick aluminium plate. A 12in. floor to sidewall radius makes for easier payload discharge.

The rear subframe is constructed of extruded aluminium and is adaptable to meet varying chassis lengths. The fabricated tailgate is box-framed for extra strength, and incorporates vertical stiffeners.

Crane Fruehauf intends only to manufacture the body and leave its fitting to the vehicle to be done at the various CF depots and other approved agents. It is intended to stock the more popular body sizes.
