MICHELIN HAS unveiled a new range of tyres for the global market at the IAA Hannover show to coincide with the new tyre labelling requirements that come into force on 1 November.
The new Michelin X-Line Energy range consists of three R22.5 tyres, a 315/70 multiposition tyre, a 315/70 steer axle tyre and a 385/55 trailer tyre, and are set to replace the Energy SaverGreen range. Each will be labelled according to the new labelling regulations, with tractor tyres receiving a B rating for rolling resistance, and trailer tyres an A rating.
Travelling 130,000km annually, the tyres are said to save £1,600 in fuel when compared to Michelin X Multiway 3D tyres.
