the Hamster, a Swiss-made selfcontained temperature recorder. It is said to enable anyone transporting or storing chilled foods to proved to health inspectors that products are being kept at the correct temperatures specified in new food hygiene regulations, expected to come into force in April. The Hamster records temperatures from —40°C72°C for up to 500 days, and is then plugged into a portable printer to producer a paper chart.
