• The main roadworks of the week continue to be on the MI at Junction 11, with five mile tail backs
in each direction at peak times. holdups this week reported here with the help of the Department of Transport, and the AA.
Mil Hertfordshire Between Junctions 8 and 9 (Hemel Hempstead and Harpenden), lane closures will operate, with an 80knith (50mph) spetd limit.
M1 Bedfordshire Severe delays can be expected at Junction 11 (Dunstable) where the junction is closed for recoilstructinn work. This work is supposed to be finished at the end of this month.
MI Nottinghamshire Between Junctions 27 and 28 (Mansfield and Derby) reconstruction work will cause delays and the occasional closure of the two junctions over the next three months.
Ml Buckinghamshire Between JUnctions 14 and 15 (Milton Keynes and Ntirthampton), north of the Newport Pagna11 service area, lighting installation will cause delays.
M2 Kent Maj■w work between Junctions 5 arid 7 (Sittingbourne and Faversham) continues until September.
M4 Berkshire Between Junctions 8, 9 and 111 (Maidenhead and Reading/A329M) work on the central barrier will continue until early October.
M4 London There will be a night time closure on the M4 he I weer' Junctions 2 and 3 (A4 and Feltham) starting at 9.30pin and ending at ti.30am on Tuesdays to Saturdays inclusively. M5 Hereford and Worcester Between Junctions 4 and 7 (A38/Bromsgmve, Droitwich and A44/Worcester) there will be closures 00 both carriageways over varying distances. Contraflows will operate until October 11.
M6 Lancashire Between Junctions 32 and 33 (M55/Blackpool and A6/Lancaster) the northbound carriageway will be closed. Delays can be expected on the southbound contraflow system that will operate until October, M8 Lothian and Strathclyde Reconstruction work will take place west of Junction 2 (A8/Edinburgh). Work between Junctims 15 and 17 ((;lasgow„ A82) and eastbound lane closures between Junctims 29 and 30 (Paisley, Erskine Bridge). Mu l Essex
Delays continue to hold up traffic at the Redbridge spur construction on Junction 3.
M20 Kent Carriageway reconstruction between Junctions 7 and 8 (A249/Maidstone and A20/Maidstone) means contraflow working will continue until December at least.
