• Safe driving awards of the Road Operators Safety Council were presented in Hull last week to 212 drivers of East Yorkshire Motor Services Ltd., each of whom drove public service vehicles last year approximately 25,000 miles, without being involved in an accident for which they were in any way to blame.
The numbers of men at each depot qualifying for awards were: Hull (102), Bridlington (22), Hornsea (22), Driffield (21), Withernsea (18), Elloughton (16), Pocklington (6), and Beverley (5).
