Between now and the end of November, Wincanton will be taking this demonstrator trailer to each of its customers around the country, allowing them to assess its viability and decide whether or not it would be suitable for their operations.
Armed with this knowledge, Rowlands will know more specifically how many longer semi-trailers to apply for, and what the breakdown between 2.05m and 1m longer trailers will be. While Rowlands is aware that it won’t suit all operations, he is estimating more than half of Wincanton’s customers would be able to take advantage of them, benefitting financially and operationally from the new trailers.
