• The revised version of the Why use brute force? brochure, free from SKF Engineering Products, includes technical data on SKF's new bearing fitting tool, optical tachometer, digital thermometer, grease testing machines and corrosion protection fluid.
The TMFT33 fitting tool, for bearings with bore diameters from 10 to 50rnm, combines a series of impact rings and a set of sleeves, ensuring that mounting forces are never transmitted by way of the rolling elements of the bearing.
The SKF TOMT6 optical tachometer uses optical techniques (with no contact or moving parts involved), to determine the speed of various rotating elements.
