• The Movitex vehicle maintenance planner enables engineers to see at a glance the whole vehicle situation.
On the left-hand side a card index unit contains the complete operational history of every vehicle on the chart.
The adjoining column shows the current week's daily tasks, while the next column comprises a strip index to record the average distance of each vehicle over the previous year or, alternatively, show where the vehicle is located.
A date scale covers 12 months on a weekly basis. Signal pegs in different colours signify different activities and are positioned beneath the appropriate date to indicate when, for instance, an operator's licence is due, the date of a MoT test, body inspection, tyre inspection and the disposal date of the vehicle. A horizontal flowline indicates progress over 12 months and checks against the vertical date line. The date line moves across the chart to indicate the current week in relation to the schedule for all vehicles.
Additional signals in different colours and shapes can be used to indicate special items such as major overhauls, insurance inspections and so on.
