• Steyr Trucks has appointed its first dealers in the UK. The initial seven-strong network will be extended to about 20 dealers by the end of 1989, says Steyr.

Steyr has also signed a "letter of intent" with Trent Trucks, part of the Sandicliffe Motor Group of Stapleford, Nottingham: the area of Trent's franchise has not been decided. Sandicliffe also has an AWD franchise and is looking for new premises to use for Steyr sales.
