• Transfleet Services has won its sixth local authority contract, with South Buckinghamshire District Council. The contract-hire and maintenance deal, worth £180,000 over five years, is for 11 vehicles.
Transfleet is taking over the council's non-primary transport services following the privatisation of its refuse and litter-control operations.
Last month the company won its fifth local authority contract, with Hinkley and Bosworth Borough Council in Leicestershire.
0 Transfleet has added 163 vehicles to its southern region truck rental fleet, and another 50 are due early next year. The company has depots in the South at Park Royal, London; Watford and Croydon. The additonal 50 vehicles are for new outlets in Camberwell and Enfield.
