Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Distribution and contracthire group John Dee has placed the first major order for AWD's "new generation" 7.5tonne IL trucks.

John Dee is buying 20 of the recently-launched models through dealer Sherwoods of Darlington. They have demountable box bodies from Wilson Truck Services of Bingley, Yorkshire, and will display the Magnet Group livery. Magnet has a contract-hire deal with John Dee.

Sherwoods — a Bedford truck dealer before the AWD takeover — is one of 47 AWD distributors in the UK. The vehicles will go on the road in November.

El Meanwhile, AWD plans a European dealer network by next year, backed by a new range of heavy tractive units from 38 to 44 tonnes, says owner David Brown.

Speaking at the Motor Show last week, Brown said electronics and sophisticated drive systems would be included in the models.

They would be aimed at capturing business from manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz and Volvo. He said he wanted European sales of 8,000, to match UK sales targets.
