LEYLAND BUS is further hedging its bets for deregulation by planning to add a minibus to its range.
It is examining the potential for an Eastern Coach Works-bodied minibus based on a Freight Rover Sherpa chassis/ cab which Leyland could buy from Freight Rover.
Such a package would give Leyland a product to offer if there is a significant increase in demand for minibuses after the White Paper proposals for deregulation are implemented.
