Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

EDBRO is now including an automatic safety device with all of its tipping gear kits. It disengages a power take-off on tipping vehicles when the hoist control is placed in the lower position.

With the lock-out unit fitted, a pto cannot be accidentally left in mesh by drivers, causing damage to the pto and gearbox. Edbro claims the operational life of the pto/pump and gearbox is also increased by the fitment as the pto is only engaged during the lifting half of the tipping cycle.

No extra charge is made for the device, which is for use only on Edbro equipment. It is supplied in kit form, consisting of a simple T-piece and four nuts and olives. Full instructions are provided with each kit. Fitting time is approximately 15 minutes.
