Before joining Three Rivers Mr Kerridge had a background in commercial transport operations. He spent three years with the central business systems department of the P15 group, setting up and administering distributions systems for companies including Birds Eye, Walls and Bejam.

Joining Mr Kerridge as municipal vehicle engineer is Jim Shirley, a former traffic police officer specialising in accident prevention. He is the current chairman of the Institute of Transport Administrators and has worked for Bassetlaw District Council where as transport and plant manager he was responsible for controlling a wide variety of municipal vehicles. Before joining Transleet he worked for TI Raleigh as transport engineering manager.

The aim of the service is to help local authorities to assess the feasibility of contract hire for them and to propose contract hire packages. taken his place as general manager of the TNT Roadfreight (UK) terminal at Abingdon. He was previously general manager of the company's Carlisle for two years.

Two personnel movements within TNT Overnite are lain Parsons to marketing manager and Laurence Shuter to commercial manager. Mr Parsons had been the express parcels firm's brand manager for 18 months after six months as marketing assistant with TNT Despatch Post. He now replaces Adam Shuter, who recently became group marketing manager, TNT (UK).

Laurence Shuter was previously area sales manager at TNT Overnite's Maidstone terminal for two years and replaces Neil Hodgson, who has left the group.

TNT Sameday has a new divisional sales manager, Stan Dalton. He was formerly site manager of the service's Liverp000l office for 18 months.
