Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

can you tell me how the road accident figures for commercial vehicles for this year compare with 1966?

AThe total number of fatal accidents for the six months ended 30 June, 1967, are as follows (with the 12 months' figures for 1966 in brackets): p.s.v. 197 (547); light

goods 394 (975); medium goods 108 (305); heavy goods 662 (1,443).

The corresponding figures for serious accidents in which the same groups of vehicles were involved are: p.s.v. 1,860 (4,036); light goods 5,185 (11,777); medium goods 998 (2,190); heavy goods, 3,175 (6.896).

In every case the figures for the first six months of 1967 are less than half the corresponding totals for the whole of 1966.
