Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A NET loss of £275,616 is announced by the Ulster Transport Authority in its 18th annual report—for the year ended September 30 1966. The road passenger section • lost £26,929 and the railways £245,450.

Since the last report the UTA has undergone further reorganization and has sold its hotels. During the year Ulsterbus was registered to run the road passenger services as a wholly owned subsidiary.

But the big news in the report is that, despite the effects of the seamen's strike, its road freight successor, Northern Ireland Carriers Ltd., made a profit of £10,000 for its financial year ended December 311966. And this was after paying £30,000 interest to UTA on loan stock and a similar amount to the joint owners, THC.

The Authority congratulates the board and management of NIC on its success in carrying the reorganization of the road freight services "to the point where, within a short period of time and in spite of difficulties, they were able to make a profit in competition with other hauliers".

• THE largest and fastest roll-on/roll-off Continental commercial vehicle ferry yet built, the Europie Ferry, has been launched for the Transport Ferry Service of the Atlantic Steam Navigation Co. and will cross between Felixstowe and Europort in six hours. A new terminal is being built at Europort for the service.

in his eyes if a vehicle is worth cleaning it is worth a tidy seat, doors that close, windows that open, split wings and dangling number plates secured, etc.

It is 10 to one he will soon be telling the engineer about a leak from engine, cliff or gearbox, which after all is just what the engineer is seeking to learn. This extra duty will have to be paid for and this may not be accepted too well, but the end product is a tidy and reliable home-based fleet, with no fear of MoT action.

Vehicle cleaning is a little investment that pays big dividends so give serious thought now on how best to Wash your smalls.
