DONALD LYON. has become managing director of Voith Engineering. He takes over from Mervyn Lornie, who has moved to become managing director of Voith South Africa.
Mr Lyon was previously director of international operations for AFA-Minerva, part of the Thorn NI Group, where he was responsible for co-ordinating and expanding the overseas operations of the company.
Before joining AFA in 1979, he was managing director of the Hempel Group which included interests in marine and industrial paints.
