WE RECORD with regret the death of Fred Pirnie, at 57.
He joined the family haulage firm of R. S. Pirnie at Pitlochry when he left school, and in partnership with his younger brother Hamish, he took over the business from their brother Alistair about 20 years ago. Subsequently he specialised in transporting whisky.
