wheeled Extended Lorry,

STAND No. 58.

WHAT is certainly one of the most interesting chassis at the Show is the TriangebLongframe six-wheeler. This is a Danish •production, and is remarkably ingenious, and apparently quite practicable.

So far as the front portion is con cerned, it is practically a standard model, but the frame is extended until it is almost double its normal length. Approximately in the centre of the ex

tended portion is pivoted a sub-frame, consisting of two channel-steel members, each fastened to the rearmoet axle at one end and linked to the rear end of the middle axle spring at its side. These springs on the driving axle are only connected to the main chassis frame at their front ends, and any shocks on the driving wheels and on those of the sub-frame are automatically balanced. Another feature of this chassis is the four.wheel steering. To effect thiS rod panes back from the steering droparm to a swinging link, from which one drag-link passes to the front steering arm, whilst another, of considerable length and supported about its centre, conveys the motion to a crossbar, from which a third link takes it to the steering arm of one of the rear wheels, the last-nained being connected by a tie-rod in the usual manner.
