Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A 20-seater Bus and an 18-20seater Coach, each on 20 h,p. Chassis.

STAND No. 95.

TWO types of the Spa commercial vehicle are shown in various forms. The smaller type, known as the 25 GB., has a 20 h.p. four-cylinder engine, and is capable of carrying a load of 40 cwt. This chassis ia shown equipped with two bodies, one of these being a 20-seater bus and the other an 18-20-seater coach. The coach makes a very fine exhibit, being finished in cream xolour with morocco grain dark green upholstery. The appearance is set off by the black , wings and valances.

This coach is fitted with a very thorough scheme of weather protection, comprising a grey hood and side curtains with celluloid windows, which afford adequate protection for all the seats. The engine and gearbox are unit-constructed, with right-hand gear control. The transmission is enclosed, the propeller shaft being contained in a long tubular torque member, which also takes the thrust. One of the brakes acts upon a transmission-drum situated behind the gearbox, and the other takes effect upon large drums fitted to the rear wheels. Both front and rear wheels are of the detachable disc variety, and are fitted with pneumatic tyres. The chassis of the 20seater bus is, of course, exactly the same. The 50-cwt. chassis follows the layout of the smaller model very closely. The engine is of much the same design but with a larger bore and stroke, and develops 25 hp. to 30 h.p. as against the 20 h.p. developed by the smaller model. This 50-cwt chassis is shown without a body, so that the details of the mechanism can readily be examined.

Another of these chassis is fitted with a very fine all-enclosed 18-20 seater saloon coach. A feature of interest in this coach is the prnvision of tables between the seats, which can be removed when not required.

Each of these chassis is equipped with a gearbox, giving four forward speeds and a reverse, and a rear axle of the fullfloating variety. The final drive is well worth inspection, comprising a bevel pinion and crown wheel of the usual type, together with a patented final reduction by internal gears.
