Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

10-cwt., 20-cwt. and 50-cwt. Vans and Chassis. A Comfortable Coupe Brougham,

STAND No. 101.

ON THIS stand there is a very complete range of Overland vehicles, and, in addition, a 30-cwt. Garford truck is shown in chassis form, which is strikingly finished in white and black. The Overland is shown as a neat 1-ton truck and as a 10-cwt.. van for rapid delivery work. In addition, there are two forms of traveller's broughams and a traveller's coupe brougham. The chassis of each of these vehicles is designed on the wellknown Overland principles, which remain practically unchanged this year. A point to notice is the Russel doublereduction gear on the back axle of the 1-tonner, and the chassis weight of this vehicle is only 161 cwt. The equipment on each is remarkably comprehensive, electric lightina and starting being included.

The coupe brougham provides wellprotected accommodation for a driver and a passenger, a box for samples being placed at the back. Of the two other travellers' cars shown, one is known as the Overland Champion, and contains a series of drawers behind the driver's seat and a. lock-up box for samples at the back. The other provides ample body accommodation for plods, access to which can be obtained through large doors at the back; the driver's compartment is fitted with sliding glass windows and a windscreen.

The design of the Garford 30-cwt. truck remains practically unaltered, but a vacutnn petrol tank is now used lo supply fuel to the carburetter. The chassis shown is equipped with Fisk cord pneumatic tyres on all four wheels, and there is a tyre pump mounted upon the gearbox. This chassis is of very sturdy construction, and should stand up to any amount of hard work. Duplicated brake shoes in the' rear-wheel drums are actuated by the hand lever and the _pedal. This lever and the gear. change lever are centrally placed, and a point of interest to drivers is the rest provided for the foot, which operates the accelerator pedal. A buffer bar is provided, which protects the front part of the chassis, and particularly the radiator, from damage caused by endon collisions.

The four-cylinder engine of this truck is designed on orthedox lines. Power is transmitted through the medium of a three-forward speed gearbox to a worm and wheel final drive.
