Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

10-cwt. Van, 1-ton Truck. Lorry. Ambulance. Hotel Bus. One-man

, STAND No. 106.

AMOST comprehensive exhibit of passenger carrying and goodscarrying vehicles is shown by Fiat Motors, Ltd., and there is also a Wandsworth-type ambulance. Dealing first with the goods vehicles, the smallest is a 10-cwt. box van on the new 10-cwt. chassis which was described tsvoor three weeks ago in full in The Commercial Motor. Next in order of size is a 1-ton utility truck mounted on the 15-20 h.p. F2 chassis. The body of this has high sides and there is a hinged tailboard with a step to facilitate entry. It is fitted with a detachable tilt cover, and the chassis runs on pneumatic tyres

A second chassis of the same type is equipped as a steel-panelled van with double doors at the rear. The largest vehicle is a 3L-ton lorry on the wellknown 18 EL-type chassis. The body has a boarded tilt cover.

The passenger-carrying vehicles comprise a taxicab built to meet the require, thents of Scotland Yard, an

hotel omnibus designed to carry 10 passengers inside and two on the driver's seat, and a 16-seater one-man-controlled bus of the "pay-as-you-enter " type on pneumatic tyres. The hotel bus is a remarkably nice-looking little vehicle, with well-upholstered facing seats and an iron ladder reaching to the roof to facilitate this loading of luggage, the roof being provided with a rail for this purpose.

The ambulance is a really fine example of the coachbuilder's art. It is panelled inside and out with sheet steel; the inside is arranged with rounded corners and the lower panels hinge down: and form wide upholstered seats with hinged backs. The two stretcher frames are sprung and are pivoted at the forward end, whilst at the rear end they can be swung round on slides to facilitate removal or replacement of the stretchers. A folding basin, the water tank of which is carried over the driver's seat, is provided at the front end, and below this is a seat for the attendant, whilst under the seat is a ottpboard for bandages, etc. The equipment includes a steel thermos flask to carry two quarts of water.
