CIF THE four chassis exhibited by Nee/De Dion-Boutou, Ltd., the passenger vehicle is sure to attract great attention. The design of this chassis is remarkable for its simplicity in appearance, and the frame is of particularly robust construction A iloint which immediately catches the eye is the provision of front-wheel brakes of the Perrot variety, these, together with a transmission brake, being operated by the pedal. The hand lever controls expanding shoes placed in the rear-wheel. drums. The engine is of remarkably clean design and the position of the .dynamo at the forward end should be noticed. Rated at 22.4 h.p. and equipped with overhead valves, this power unit has a typically Continental appearance. Mounted in one unit is a. four-speed gearbox, from which power is transmitted to a central universal joint of ingenious design mounted on a cross-member. From this joint tha drive is transmitted rearwards by an enclosed propeller shaft to a beveldriven back axle. Suspension . is by semi-elliptic springs fore and aft, those at the rear being underslung The wheels are of the detachable disc type, fitted with pneumatic tyres.

In addition to this vehicle three goods chassis are exhibited, and of these the 20-30-cwt. and the 30-40-cwt. models are entirely new. Each is fitted with p, 17.9 h.p. engine, a multi-disc clutch and a four-forward-speed-gearbox. The final drive is by spiral bevels. The 20-30-cwt. chassis is equipped with Michelin tyres and dynamo lighting and starting, these, electrical fittings being omitted on the larger chassis.

The third goods vehicle is a 34-ton chassis with a four-cylinder engine of 24.8 h.p. The transmission comprises multi-disc clutch, . four-speed gearbox and spiral bevel drive. The wheels are shod with solid tyres, the dimensions ef which are 930 mm. by 120 mm. singles are fitted at the front end twin tyres al the rear.
