Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The Fourth international Cycle, Motorcycle and Cyclecai Exhibition, which opened on Monday last the 2-1th inst., is adequately and fully reported by other journals emanating from our own publishing house ; consequently, it is not within the scope of THE COMMERCIAL MOTOR to cover such ground. There is, however, aapha.se of the present Show which bears import to a great number of our readers, and which it behoves this paper, as a users' journal, to nurture. We refer to the developments of the parcelcar. Several excellent examples of this handy form of tradesman's light runabout are staged there this week.

The advantages of the parcelcar for quick point-to-point delivery of household supplies, newspapers, stationery, proprietary articles, millinery, drapery, etc., etc., are now well recognized both by the tradesman and his customers.

Establishments, the nature of whose business has hitherto caused the management or proprietors to look askance at the more capacious load-carrying units now marketed, are realizing that in the parcelcar lies the only means economically and successfully to meet present-day trading competition. We funily believe this section of the automobile industry is on the eve of great developments. It is not necessary for us here to labour the acknowledged low cost of upkeep of these machines. In the matter of fuel consumption, 45 miles per gallon is putting it at a very ordinary average for many pareelcars that are now in daily use. Skilled mechanical knowledge on the part of the driver is also an inconsiderable and even negligible factor, and, as would be expected, pareelears arevextremely light on tire wear. They are generally driven by youths.

The following descriptions include only those machines on view at Olympia this week. The exhibits constitute the lighter type of parcelear manufactured, and by no means exhaust all the makes now on the market. At the end of this report, we append names of other well-known makers in order that readers may have the full range of choice at their disposal for reference purposes.
