Fresh Direct to expand fleet at its new operating centre
FOOD DISTRIBUTION firm Fresh Direct has been granted authorisation for five vehicles at its new operating centre at the Bennetts Hill Business Park in Evesham, Worcestershire.
Conditions attached include no movement, operation, loading or unloading of the authorised vehicles and trailers before 4am or after 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, or before 4am or after 3pm on a Saturday.
Authorised vehicles and trailers cannot leave the operating centre before 6am or return after 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, and before 6am or after 3pm on a Saturday.
No movement, operation, loading or unloading of the vehicles and trailers can take place on a Sunday. All vehicles are limited to 7.5 tonnes or less and no maintenance can be carried out at the facility.
Truck or van engines must not be left running for more than five minutes before they leave the centre.
Also, non-electric vehicle and trailer refrigeration units must be switched off when parked at the site between the hours of 6pm and 6am.
