TRUCKIFEST WINNERS

Truc kfest '99 was not only great fun for all concerned, it was a great success for haulage firm James !dam: managing director David Irlam won the Euro Shell Lifetime Achievement Award.

Shell's European transport manager Kevin Chomsey presented the award to David, who was accompanied by his father Ken.

Eddie Stobart, who won the award last year, sponsored this year's appearance of TV comic duo Hale and Pace.

In true showbiz style the pair arrived by helicopter and were soon mingling with the great and the good including. I'm told, that old Gallic porker Michelin Man, who recently celebrated his 100th birthday.
