Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Daly Transport Services of Hornsey, North London has invested nearly £600,000 in five new Mercedes 1834 tractor units and 10 new high-capacity garment trailers from Montracon Tasker.

The 100m3 vehicles will be used on Daly's operations to Cyprus, Romania and Morocco. The trailers have 460mrn radiused aluminium front corners and are built to 13.83m external length with 13.37m useable inside. In addi

tion to Aerodyne aerodynamic fronts and skirting, the 20mm GRP step-frame van trailers are ply-lined with additional Talfix slotted panelling to accommodate garment poles.

The hardwood floor is flanked by 230mm kickstrips and the rear shuttered closure has a sliding curtain behind it to keep out any road grime or moisture.

Daly has also specified a swing-back Hope unden-un bar and a set of large metal rollers to prevent damage to the tail end during ferry movements. These are mounted under the frame about 250mm behind the tail end, and with the 1-bars swung underneath the steel rollers absorb most of the rough handling when being positioned by ferry tugs.

The 34-tonne GCW trailers have deck loading heights of 96108cm running on 265/70 R19.5in tyres and using RO-R air-suspended axles with raise/lower system.

Daly Transport Services has also ordered a number of Mercedes 1827 drawbar rigs with 27 swap bodies on Ray Smith demount systems for its UK garment operation.
