RECORD OUTPUT IN MARCH

PRODUCTION of commercial Vehicles in March was a record at 46,374 units, whilst exports were maintained at the high level at which they have been running for several months.

Overseas shipments during the first quarter of this year totalled 38,098 corn pared with 30,689 in the same period of 1959. Australia stayed as the biggest customer, taking 4,528 vehicles, with Denmark, having purchased 1,933, in second place. Details appear in the accompanying tables.
