A PROPOSAL to grant free travel to old-age pensioners was approved on Tuesday by Birmingham City Council. The free-travel scheme was abandoned last autumn when the High Court ruled that it was illegal. It is hoped that the scheme will be restored on June 12. City councillors will also benefit from it.

I T was announced on Wednesday that Mac. Smith, Ltd., Newcastle upon Tyne, had been appointed official sales and service agents for Capasco moulded brake and clutch facings in Northumberland, Durham and the North Riding of Yorkshire
