Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

HAMBURG municipal transport undertaking is now running five double-deck 96-passenger trolleybuses, and thus becomes the second German operator to experiment with vehicles of this type. Built by Nordwestdeutsche Fahrzeugbau GmbH., Wilhelmshaven, the vehicles are six-wheelers based on Henschel chassis. The electrical equipnient is by A.E.G.

Overall length of the new vehicles is 36 ft. They are 15 ft. 7 in. high and 8 ft. 2 in. wide. Seating is pro

vided for 62 passengers, whilst a rear platform provides accommodation for 25 out of a total of 34 standing passengers.

Entering at the rear, passengers leave the full-width loading platform and pass in front of the conductor seated on the right-hand side of the vehicle, with his back to the pavement. After paying their fares, passengers may stand or sit in the lower saloon or ascend to the upper deck up a straight staircase on the left. A second staircase is provided on the opposite side of the body at the front for alighting. The exit is behind the front axle. The rear staircase is built over the two rear axles.

The driver's cab is separated from the lower saloon. A distinctive feature of the appearance of the vehicle is the use of large single windscreens on both decks in place of the more conventional split type. Curved glazed corner panels on each side of the main windscreens ensure all-round visibility.
