Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TWO OF the outstanding essentials of a vehicle intended for the use of commercial travellers are a comparatively large sample-carrying capacity and a smart and attractive exterior appearance. These requirements are certainly met in the special traveller's coupo which has just been designed by VVillysOverland-Crossley, Ltd.-, of Heaton Chapel, Manchester, and of which we reproduce AR illustration on 'his page. The body of this vehicle, which is framed up of ash and is strengthened at -vital parts by steel members, is of the two-compartment type. The trent portion provides comfortable seating accommodationfor the driver and enother_person, and it is built on the lines of a high-class touring car. It is fitted with two fixed side lights and a permanent canopy which, -with the rigidtype side curtains which can be' fitted in position in the top halves of the doors, ensure absolute protection for the occupants of the interior when weather conditions are inclement.

The rear portion of the body, which is intended for the reception of sam plea, is of generous proportions, but should it be fouued. necessary to carry additional or heavy goods they can hie housed en the top of this compartment, 86 which case a luggage .rail can be incorporated. There ia a fixed partition separating the driver's compartment from the sample box, which is fitted with a doublefolding rear door possessing a Yale leek.

The exterior, panelling of the driver's cabin is of sheet steel,"that of the sample compartment being constructed of a special-fireproof material, whilst the roof is panelled with a specially moulded weatherproof material, tied is covered -with black Duratex. The only door giving access to the driver's portion is on the near side of the vehicle, and it is fitted with a-slam lock and inside and outside nickel-plated handles. The upholstery is carried out on. neat and servicabl lines, . Duratex being employed to cover the driver's seat and back squab, which are well padded and adequately sprung. Provision is made for carrying tools in a drawer

located below the seat.

There is a ventilator in the .ecuttle • clash which serves to maintain a flow of fresh air to the cab when the all-weather equipment i3 brought into use

The nickel-plated Windscreen is glazed with best polished plate glass; the top half of the screen is made to swing outwards and to be fixed in any position, whilst the lower half is fixed and is shaped to lolte curvature of the scuttle dash.

It is unnecessary to describe the Willys-Overland chassis to which this traveller's coup6 is fitted, for its general design is well known, and it merely remains for us to add that the price Of the complete vehicle, ex works, is 2295, at which figure it represents a most reasonable and attractive proposition.
